SRAM GXP cranksets only--SHIMANO OPTIONS Available Separately
RWC, we have paired the machining precision of KCNC with Enduro Bearings to bring you the best
OSBB to GXP adapters available. The KCNC design offers
several advantages, including optimum bearing placement on the crank set spindle. The double
O-ring seals on the "cups" ensure a positive, creak-free fit regardless of BB shell
tolerance variations. Because the two halves thread together, when the bottom bracket is properly torqued, it
becomes locked into place within the bottom bracket shell. The aluminum body does not flex or distort under load.
This also forms a solid barrier from moisture that may be trapped in the bottom bracket shell.
Specialized carbon road frames with Specialized's own "OSBB" standard are a unique adaptation of the
"PF30" standard in that THEY ARE ONLY 61mm WIDE (standard PF30 road width is 68mm). For this reason, this special
bottom bracket assembly includes special bushings for the bottom bracket shell. This kit contains everything you need
to run SRAM GXP road cranks (Force GXP, Rival GXP, Red GXP, etc.) on your Specialized Carbon OSBB
We are expanding our Angular Contact ENDURO bearing options based on the superior performance and longevity
of Angular Contact Bearings when used in bottom bracket applications.
IN PROPERLY ADJUSTED ANGULAR
CONTACT (A/C) CARTRIDGE BEARINGS, ALL OF THE BALL BEARINGS ARE ENGAGED AND SPREAD THE FORCE OVER A LARGER SURFACE AREA, DECREASING
FRICTION, AND MINIMIZING WEAR. EXCESS PLAY CAN BE ADJUSTED OUT OF THE BOTTOM BRACKET WITHOUT THE USUAL RISK OF SIDE LOADING
Completely remove old bottom bracket and any cups, adapters, and residual grease or Loctite from the carbon BB shell.
Grease and press in the Delrin bushings.
Grease the KCNC cups and press them into
the Delrin Bushings.
To properly tighten these threaded bearing cups, two Hollowtech
II compatible tools will be required.
KCNC recommends tightening the cups to 35 Nm (300 inch-lbs)
